My Story
Founder of BioMech, Ian Brown, is qualified by 17 years of expertise in biochemical assay design and cell biology have equipped me with the capability to merge drug discovery with project management skills, effectively aligning corporate objectives with scientific strategies. While my technical foundation is grounded in diverse techniques such as cell-based assay development, biochemical assay processes and assay automation, my true proficiency is in managing complex projects. I have 3 years of experience managing biochemical projects and 1 year of managing biological stem cell manufacturing. I am particularly adept in optimizing workflows, leveraging automation to enhance efficiency, and guide CRO research initiatives. My deep knowledge of biotechnology, combined with my project management skills, has enabled me to become a bridge between the science and the business side of the industry. My approach to scientific management is proactive and hands-on, embodying the philosophy of “Nothing is below me; help everywhere I can.” This has allowed me to achieve significant cross-functional contributions in the field of drug development.
Throughout my journey, I've continued to strengthen my ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams, upper management, and the wider organization. My knack for natural, personable communication and enthusiasm for collaboration stand out. I believe in empowering individuals by entrusting them with responsibility and steering them towards success. Leading by example and garnering respect from colleagues is my preferred approach.
